And We Have Not Even Begun On Massive Deportation Yet.

Ban will be only a small matter once Trump/GOP start massive deportations and invade sanctuary cities. We are not in America any more. And we need to go after the GOP itself. They are a renegade party. Trump is not the only problem.

8 million people. 6 million of age to vote. At least 3 million HRC voters. Even if only 1 in 3 of those can stand in the streets? That's a million people. Even if only half that, that's still more people than we have on total active duty in the US Army. And the governors still have control and will not relinquish control of the Guard, so that comes down to a fight there, too -- the NYNG has 3 times the membership of the total Army active duty.

I live in a sanctuary *state*. That's law for us, in every county and city. Even our nuttier than squirrel poop, more extreme than the NRA, gun group is likely to strenuously object to having posse comitatus broken in state, even for a bunch of brown people, especially because a lot of the nutters are themselves 6th, 7th and 8th generation brown, on their own native soil. And our gov will not call out the National Guard on us, to enforce a law that doesn't apply for us. (That happened in the past. Those governors fucked up historically badly. They don't do that.) Our state law says we pay more than our fair share for federal law; if ICE wants to do the job, they have to get a warrant and do their own damn job.

I just keep thinking of numbers -- there are more of us. So many more. Everywhere.

are going to pose a major problem. It will be all out urban warfare. I live in one of the sanctuary cities (Denver), and I know just how many gangs there are. There are ten times the number of gangs in places like Albuquerque. You mess with them and you are in YUUUGEE trouble. Of course, this will just make living here a lot more dangerous.

They're costly and require lots of boots on the ground. Rounding up millions, as Trump wants to do, is far-fetched. These mass deportations will be hundreds, not thousands.

Such an action here would unequivocally lead to civil war, I would like to believe even trump isn't that ignorant but the NSC move has left me unsure of where we are going and what is to come.
No one here, even our more right-leaning brothers and sisters on the eastern side of our state, would let people get rounded up like cattle.
I would like to believe that those dark days are behind us and we are a better than that now.
