and still some people risked other people's lives and voted for him, did not vote, or voted third party.
That is to me unconscionable.
Trump is just one man, but it took a fucking warped white nationalist village to make this happen.
If we are to ever prevent something like this again, we need to take overt racism far more seriously than we did this time round. We need to quit finding excuses and 'good reasons' why people did not vote for the person who could stop him. Nor did they vote for the Senators/House members who could stop him.

Of course, quite a few voters couldn't bother to inform themselves and were caught unaware. "What! They're repealing the ACA? I thought they would repeal Obamacare!" So we have a presidency aimed at satisfying the urges of the most primitive right wing segment of our population.
