KellyAnne Conway has to be the most adept bullshitter I've ever seen

She can spin and BS anything negative and she won't concede anything. I really really really dislike her, much more than I ever disliked Palin or Fiorina or any male Republican. If memory serves me, even Bush43 would at least just dodge a question. I don't remember him being AS good of a bullshitter as she is. Maybe he was ? You all can correct me.

She's a real pro at it. She should be ashamed, but won't be. Goebbels would have hired her, for sure.

on edit: Upon further reflection, I should have used the word TENACIOUS instead of adept. She is not adept or convincing if you're paying attention at all.

the president approval rating means anything.

I think the people he appeals to are too far gone, too too far gone in a real way.

Soon Putin will be implementing his will here and our opinions and what not will be irrelevant.

This was an actual coup by Russia. It is going on right now and we are actually doing nothing about it.

We are all talking about it, including politicians, but we are doing nothing because if we do they will shoot us.

Granted, she is adept at coming up with something -- anything -- that expediency requires, what she isn't good at is selling it. Otherwise, Mr Trump would not be experiencing a fall in approval from the heretofore indifferent.

At least Baghdad Bob was comical in his lies. Conway smiles when she KNOWS she's lying and absolutely won't concede anything at all. Ann Coulter is similar but for some reason I guess I despise Conway more because she has access to Trump.

Remains calm--not focused, because she also often doesn't actually answer questions, instead uses a lot of deflection. I don't know how good she is at bullshit, she kind of ~is~ bullshit, I mean as a professional career. It's easy enough to see through. Trumps deplorable base of bigots like her I am sure

And it's consistent with the far right world view. The traditional way to handle inconvenient questions was to give a vague answer, come back with a response to a different issue altogether, parse the question and answer a little micro piece of it, try to redefine the meaning of a word or phrase, beg the question, etc.

The new method is to go right at it, declare it false, challenge the questioner's motives, tell about fake news, claim political and personal bias, and proclaim all facts equally true. I think Conway and Spicer do this partly because they're not good enough at traditional spin, but even more because they're appealing to the new national consciousness that says, "Fuck the truth, and fuck you for confronting me with it." This is where they really excel.

26. Kellyanne Conwoman is adept at the Gish Gallop
Mon Jan 30, 2017, 03:46 PM
Jan 2017
The Gish Gallop (also known as proof by verbosity[1] and the Trump Tirade[2]) is the fallacious debate tactic of drowning your opponent in a flood of individually-weak arguments in order to prevent rebuttal of the whole argument collection without great effort. The Gish Gallop is a belt-fed version of the on the spot fallacy, as it's unreasonable for anyone to have a well-composed answer immediately available to every argument present in the Gallop. The Gish Gallop is named after creationist Duane Gish, who often abused it.

Although it takes a trivial amount of effort on the Galloper's part to make each individual point before skipping on to the next (especially if they cite from a pre-concocted list of Gallop arguments), a refutation of the same Gallop may likely take much longer and require significantly more effort (per the basic principle that it's always easier to make a mess than to clean it back up again).

She doesn't - she spews out retorts that make my mind spin .. and I grew up outside Chicago, where people speak fast! Not to mention, she is utterly mean girl like doing it -- which likely means few like her enough to listen for long. (I seriously do not get the few like Chris Matthews who seem impressed.)

I think she stinks as a spokesperson for a President. She is still in campaign mode, where firing an accusation causes the other side to spend valuable time trying to explain why she is wrong. What Trump needs now is to win people beyond his base. Nasty jabs at them will not do that. I do not think Goebbels would have hired her because she alienates more than she wins new followers.

This morning, she said we didn't need "reductive curating."

She's right- we don't need that- because it isn't actually a thing; it is just another made-up term to avoid answering direct questions.

Bizarrely, what she was talking about was "cherry picking." Her insistence that the press is selectively reporting facts in order to undermine Trump, while she selectively cites alternative facts in order to blame Obama for everything, would be hilarious if it were not doing so much damage.

She does not look well, and is headed for a meltdown the likes of which none of us have ever witnessed. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to that. . . .
