So in two weeks time we've protested for women, against a Muslim ban, and next up pro- LGBTQ.

But no, to answer your question, all we can do is seize the streets.

Can trump make it illegal for gay couples to adopt.

Could he ban gay marriage.

Could he make it illegal for people to ban gay people from their places of business?

Please tell me he cant do that.

.... Team Trump has indicated a complete disregard for law. They seem to believe that EOs are something the Mad King can just fling about like tweets and government will happen. Or something. So, I'd be nervous.

have never organized to win a big political fight before.

If they try this I think it may outdo the women's march. If only because once they go after LGBTQ people women's reproductive rights will be next.

but as of the Women's March there had been no EO affecting them.

Now he's reinstated the ban on abortion even being mentioned and I'll be he'll try an executive order going after Planned Parenthood, but LGBTQ people seem to be next on his list.

But, to your point and to quote Ben Franklin, "We all hang together or we will surely hang alone."

...but we knew in advance. Team Trump TOLD us what they planned to do all along. Hence the Women's March.

As regards the Global Gag Order, it is a political football. I think Reagan started it. Then every time the WH changes parties, it gets yanked (Bill Clinton) or reinstated (Dubya) or yanked again (Obama) and finally reinstated yet again (Trump).

This is indeed done by Executive Order. The reason for this is that neither party has a sufficient majority any any one time to simply pass it as a law. Especially the Dems. So this is quick and easy and makes a statement that the Men in Charge are pro-life or conversely pro-woman.

It is a political football with women's very lives.

Most notable example were the news stories that Bannon's appointment to the National Security Council required Senate confirmation. Five minutes of research showed that story was bullshit as there are at least a half dozen people on the NSC that do not require Senate Confirmation.
