Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos emailed employees Monday afternoon to describe the steps Amazon has taken to combat President Donald Trumps executive order blocking immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U.S.
Bezos said Amazon has voiced opposition to the order with senior Trump administration officials and Republican and Democratic congressional leaders.
Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) also drafted a declaration of support for Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who will challenge Trumps restrictive immigration directive in federal court on behalf of the state. The company is taking further legal measures as well, Bezos said.
Amazon Vice President of Human Resources Beth Galetti notified employees in an internal email over the weekend that the company was drawing up contingency plans for workers impacted by the order who are currently abroad and advised those inside the United States to avoid traveling abroad.

That's a soft boycott -- the merchant has already sunk some cost into the wholesale and warehousing; they get rid of the stock and just don't buy more.
