I have discovered a way to shut down the Trumpers around me

It really is an amazingly simple 3 letter word: Lie

It has been working amazingly well. They spout off the "news" they been spoon-fed by Fox or some other right wing alternative fact news site and I just say "Lie" ... and walk off. It really makes them defensive and angry. I don't try to logically reason with them anymore (which is a waste of time and emotion anyway). Amazing how defensive/angry they get trying to justify Trump's actions.

It's worked so well I tried it in a news site's comment section and it worked perfectly. They kept arguing with themselves.

This is a pretty wild night. As I write this, the big popping news was trump firing Acting AG Sally Yates, but now he's evidently also fired the head of immigration enforcement, too!

This is unspooling in such a way as to confirm WHY you DON'T run a government like a business. And why it's UTTER FOLLY to put a businessman in at the top. A businessman is used to doing business a certain way. Especially a CEO-type who's used to swaggering around like some sultan and in his own private company CAN say "my way or the highway." I'm sure trump has fired people on a whim, MANY times before. But he was in private industry at the time. You can do that if you own the joint.

But trump doesn't OWN this. He is a public servant. That's what a President of the United States is: the highest-ranking public servant in America. The country doesn't run like a business. They're not the same thing! A business exists to do one thing: generate a profit. Period. That's NOT what a government is for. A government is for serving the public, collecting taxes, and redistributing that tax money to serve the public. Handle crises. Fund recovery, for example.

Perhaps we're now seeing how trump runs things when the whole country and the whole wide world, friend and foe alike, all aren't looking over his shoulder - which is what happens when you're President. Maybe we're now seeing, close-up, the kind of business guy he is in the private sector. And why he's been sued more than 3,500 times.

When Trumpettes insist that "3 to 5 million" votes were cast in the last election by "illegals", I tell them that it's true - and almost 100% of those "illegal" votes were for Trump.

When they ask for verification of that "fact", I ask for verification that 3 to 5 million votes were "illegal".

A couple that have worked for me.

Can you prove that? Where did you hear this? Why do you believe this? You do realize that this has been thoroughly debunked?

I, of course, don't ask these all at once. I've found that they often don't know where they heard it, don't know why they believe it, and certainly can't prove anything.

The problem I'm having is I want to punch their fucking faces in for doing this to my country because they got talked into believing that Obama was or did ruin the country and that anything would be better than Hillary Clinton... So, I have to minimize my conversations with them.

Дональда Трампа is a traitor and we shoud be fearless about calling him out for what he is. He will throw this country to the pack of hyenas formed by Exxon petroleum, assorted billionaire CEO's and Russia's Putin. He will do it deliberately and with no conscience and he will break anyone who stands in his way. We see him doing this already. We must all rise up together and fight him in every way we can.

My tag line is by Harvey Fierstein, btw. So far he hasn't objected to my use of it, and I'm sure he'd love for all of us to use it for a rallying cry.

I do believe the one Drumph supporter who told me "Now you know what I felt like when Obama won" is probably starting to cringe in a corner somewhere. I don't know, since he got dismissed from his job for racist, sexist commentary.
