nixon couldn't fire cox, who was investigating watergate. so he kept firing attorneys general until he found one who would fire cox.

that's abuse of power (abusing his right to fire the attorney general to effectively firing someone he had no right to fire) *and* it was trying to quash an investigation into other administration wrongdoing.


donnie fired someone he has a right to fire. it certainly has a chilling effect, but mostly it's just rash, petty, and vindictive.

One of them used the Vietnam era to justify Trump's order. The connection didn't make sense to me - but whereas I see a cornered rat reminiscent of the one 44 years ago, lashing out at everything, she somehow connects the era with American values being threatened by terrorists.
