Utterly horrifying.
We just got back from a week in FL to celebrate my wife's 60th - staying with family. When we left it was Inaug day plus 2. Today is inaug day plus 10.
It would take a long post with more than a hundred links to collect every slimy, crooked, misguided, malevolent attempt to make their hissyfit of Obama's 8 years of very positive presidency, resulting in petulant children taking dumps everywhere and destroying everything they can get their hands (and pens) on.
This is the result of self loathing, rampant fear, narcissism, false superiority, every -ism we can think of. It is all coming home to roost. There is quite a collection involved - stupidity, ignorance, manipulation - and some true hateful evil....what a concoction.
This will be a fight for the ages, folks. It is unfolding at the speed of light - clearly one of the desired tactics. Customary politics isn't - and won't work. How this all turns out is anyone's guess - my feeling is that there will be heroes emerging, and that (after a dark period of who knows how long and how many further disasters) things will settle down and work out and sanity and decency will win.
But it is going to be a hell of a fight.
OK - vacation is over - time to get to work doing something. (anyone else see some national strikes and consistently huge protests in the near future)?
