Something really uplifting! Story of how one mom had the idea to make a supportive sign to put on the lawn of school for refugees and it became a neighborhood project with neighbors meeting each other who didn't know each other before.

I have to say that as challenging as the current political situation is, it is heartening how many creative ways people are finding to be supportive of those marginalized, and creating community in the process. Creating community is so important to counteract fear and keep hope alive.

I love this so much! If nothing else, Trump's administration is backfiring in that it's illustrating our capacity for love and tolerance on a community level... much to the chagrin of bigots (especially the polite bigots).
That was the one i wanted to put in my post but couldn't figure out how.
