Is there anything to stop him.

Of course he might wig out or stroke out,
but barring that, nothing can remove him.

No, I take that back. We can remove him,
but it would take massive organizing and
protesting in such a way that Reeps are
blocked from governing.

That can be done, but I'm not sure it will.

... I have no idea what will transpire. I was so horribly wrong about everything related to Donald Trump that I have to guess that whatever is the opposite of my thoughts will become true.

Ergo, Donald Trump will be re-elected in 2020, Congress and the States will rescind the 22nd Amendment and Mr. Trump will be re-elected in 2024.

Ugh.

The outrage of the people is growing more and more each day. He's even losing a lot of his own supporters.

As far as I can tell the outrage is confined to people who would never vote for him.

Once that is done he will have a shot at being President-for-Life and the collapse of the US into a banana republic will be complete.

let's remember Watergate. That was fucking bad. It went on for months and months. That involved impeachable crimes easily: obstruction of justice, using the FBI against enemies, involving the CIA, suborning perjury, and other crimes. The House Judiciary Committee in 1974 eventually drew up articles of impeachment.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watergate_scandal

June 17, 1972: Arrest of 3rd rate burglars at Watergate

February 6, 1974: House of Representatives approved H.Res. 803 giving the Judiciary Committee authority to investigate impeachment of the President

August 9, 1974: Nixon finally resigns.

That whole clusterfuck took over 2 years to unfold. I don't have much hope for this ending quickly, unless Trump says something CLEARLY insane by any standard (even to highly partisan Republicans), dies, has a stroke, or resigns.

Sorry. I wish I could be more optimistic.
