Every Republican Who Is Stonewalling the Investigation is Being Blackmailed By Russia

Period. There is no other reason for people like Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell to protect Russia/Flynn/Trump unless they are also protecting themselves. Note that McCain is calling for an investigation. As a former presidential candidate he has been vetted. I am betting that there are a lot of kinky secrets in the GOP Congressional closet and Putin knows them all.

You hear that journalists? Get to work uncovering the dirt. You already know where to look. Start with every Republican who has loudly defended Russia and Trump in the last few days. I will bet that they all got secret calls from the Kremlin telling them "Do what we tell you or else."

Should we start a contest to see what Mitch McConnel's secret will be? I think he likes to get tied up and beaten by a hot chick in leather. But it could be diapers.

It relies on electoral votes for victories - in states with populations of like 10 people. They spend gazillions getting on school boards and state legislatures, but all you have to do is run an Obama and bam! they're fucked.

Reagan's trickle down failed. Bush I and II pretty much destroyed what was left of the party's brand. If you're a career GOPer you have to be worried what havoc TrumpInc will wreak

FOX etc. Once a scandal exposes what their elected officials are really like enough of them turn against them. Of course, there is a stable RW band that will stick with the GOP no matter what. We don't need them. We just need enough of them to see the light and and next time around vote differently, especially if we can offer up some candidates in their areas that are seen as better...even if we run some of them as GOP contenders.

The GOP brand is being tarnished on a daily basis by Trump and his antics. The Republican "base" is notoriously anti-Russia, and are probably flummoxed as to why any their party leaders aren't up-in-arms over what are now known ties between Trump and "those bastard commies".

It was one thing to defend Trump & Co. by insisting those ties never existed. But it's a whole new ballgame now - the facts are out there, and are undeniable.

There is one wing of their party that worships the Germans (of the past) and a new wing that is being encouraged to worship the Russians (of the current) - both explicitly for "ethnic" reasons given what they believed was the "travesty" of the previous President actually being elected, not once, but twice.

Although there are other snapshots and views of this moment, the below version clearly symbolizes an oft-described power play moment that I expect rattled a whole lot of deplorables -

Mitch McConnell just wants POWER. His father in law gave him $25 million and he's the richest Senator in the club.

His father in law is a Chinese billionaire who is involved in the shipping business. Count on Mitch to put China ahead of Russia when push comes to shove....but like I said, he likes that POWER.
