Bear with me here....
HOW the hell were these people allowed to step foot in the WH?
I've been thru the federal background checks for a VA job. This is not a simple process.
I had to go thru was is called Vetpro. It can take up to 3 months to get into the job itself and onto the federal facility. It is well known to NOT quit your current job until you are definitely told that the background check is done and you have a firm VA offer.
Things you have to fill out:
Personal and professional references (the people on one list cannot be on the other list)
EVERY job you have held since you were old enough to hold a job as an adult...like every job. Whether it was a year ago or 40 years ago. I bitched because I had to list companies from the 80s and 90s, some of which the companies had closed down. I was told "well, at least you're not the people who have to list companies from the 60's and 70's".
You have to list every address you have lived at. And provide the names of people who could agree that you have lived there. Those "witnesses" could not be on any other reference list you provided.
And all of this was JUST to get a low level VA job in the middle of the country.
Yet these SIX WHITE HOUSE workers were ALLOWED into the WH..without their federal background check COMPLETED???
Who else in this administration has been allowed into very high level jobs before their background checks were DONE??

(40,416 posts)In Wichita, KS. If one failed ones DOD secret clearance, you'd be out the door, FAST!
I passed, I imagine easily as I am fairly straight laced and my politics have been, although active, conventional Democratic aligned.
But all the tech people there had secret clearances. It was a condition of employment.
It took months for it to come through. Even though I was in my mid 30's, the FBI interviewed neighbors from when I was a teen-ager! I can only imagine what else went on between the sheets, so to say.
