I Find It Very Difficult Not to Be Completely Disrespectful Towards Trumpsters on Social Media

I know it's not the right way to be, but we're not in normal times. We have Americans openly co-signing un-American policies. These people are hands down the biggest hypocrites in the country. These are the same ones waving the flag in acts of over-the-top fake jingoism, but they're perfectly fine with Herr Trump being in bed with the Russians. I've noticed another trend that has become common on the Right and that is to take attacks the Left use against them and co-opt it. They've been doing this for a while, but it's being taken to another level now.

They hijacked the BLM hashtag and created All Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter
They hijacked the very real charge of racism against the Right and came up with "reverse racism."
They have hijacked the fascism charge that is also very real from the right-wing and misuse the term to call the Left fascist when we protest the proliferation of hate speech

I can go on and on...now it's fake news. There was a mountain of fake news leveled against Hillary Clinton and now the Right calls everything they disagree with "fake news."

I don't know what's more annoying and dangerous, Right-wing delusions and the alternate reality they live in or the fact that they will apparently defend and apologize for every little thing he does.

as if they don't live in the same country we do. As if climate change is just going to skip over them. I don't find this ignoring of the environment rational or sensible. How the hell can you respect a person so wrapped up in their own ignorance?

Every primary opponent, Hillary, Obama, governors, sitting Senators and Congresspeople, Miss Universe contestants, reporters with disabilities, 'ugly' and 'fat' people, he's called them all names, critiqued their wives' looks, launched libelous charges against them, and countless other things. If scientists could combine a bitchy middle-school prima donna with a drunken frat boy, the result would be Donald J Trump.

He is a pile of shit of a human being and doesn't deserve anyone's respect.

people from my social media almost immediately after November 8 - including, sadly enough, my own brothers. I couldn't take it.

The rest of them (I know of at least a handful) have gone strangely silent as of late...and that's fine by me.

I follow links from here now and then, but that's it. I have also had to stop reading the comments on certain news sites, though. Every once in awhile, I'll read something that makes me furious - then I have to respond in my carefully measured manner, while I'm actually seething. Not good for my BP.

They feed into the negative feedback. I don't give them the pleasure. Like any bully...you ignore them and they lose.

Failing to speak up against wrong, against hate, against bigotry only allows it to proliferate without objection. It allows it to become normalized.

Silence is complicity.

If hand-to-hand combat isn't working out, switch tactics. Ridicule them. Laugh at them. Mock them. Cal them precious snowflakes and ask them if they need their safe space. They haaaaaaaate that.

Most of the "good" people of Germany were very busy too, and who can blame them?

The boxcars were not there to take their families, right?
