Lawyers: ICE detainee with brain tumor removed from hospital

http://thehill.com/latino/320755-lawyers-ice-detainee-with-brain-tumor-removed-from-hospital
WTF have we become? Where is our humanity and compassion? Arrrgggghhhh!!

An undocumented immigrant diagnosed with a brain tumor while under Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody was returned to a detention center from a Texas hospital, her lawyers said.

The woman, a Salvadoran national identified only as Sara, was released from Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and taken to Prairieland Detention Center against her will, according to her lawyers.

"She told us they tied her hands and ankles in her condition," Melissa Zuniga, a member of Sara's legal team, told The Hill. "She's complaining of a lot of pain."

I actually heard a colleague in the lounge at work today suggest that stories like this are overblown and it's only the "bad guys" being deported. Our country has been infiltrated and overtaken by the worst of ourselves. No compassion, no empathy, no concern for humanity...only power and dominance and hatred. This has been fomenting since the onset of the civil rights era and we're seeing the far right achieve their goals. If we don't push back now, I fear our country will be damaged beyond repair. Far too many people have written off these types of heartbreaking stories as nothing more than the press pushing an agenda. This mass deportation movement is only the beginning. To quote TS Eliot: "What we call a beginning is often an end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from". Let us focus on ending, or at worst, suppressing the current wave of bigotry/sexism/racism sweeping across this country.

I notice lots of folks "not believing" things they don't like lately.

Not human, just garbage to be thrown out of the country.

Evidently, many more Americans than I had previously thought tortured and killed small animals as children.

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

It perfectly points out the hypocrisy of these phonies who claim to be the righteous ones.

the Cross of Christ and prancing around all holier-than-thou all the time and shoving their "religion" down everybody else's throat.

I listen - hard - to hear if they EVER quote the Beatitudes, or the parable of the rich young man, or Matthew 25, or any of those Scripture passages. NEVER. I NEVER hear it. I have NEVER heard it coming out of Mike Pence's mouth, and there's no bigger holier-than-thou than he is.

Captain Clusterfuck and his little white side-kick, Corporal Christian-Sharia-Law.

35 For I was hungry and you begrudged me food stamps and called me a lazy moocher, I was thirsty and you said I was only a derelict drunk (if I give him money, he'll just go buy booze with it), I was a stranger and you called the cops to get me out of your sight, 36 I needed clothes and you presumed I was either a derelict or a sex offender, I was sick and you told me I should just go take an aspirin or go to the emergency room, I was in prison and you ignored me, saying I deserved to be there because I certainly must be guilty.’

I deleted the rest. The CONS aren't interested in that message anyway.

There. Fixed it for 'em.
