FX's critically acclaimed drama, "The Americans", returns for a new season next Tueday, March7th

For those of you unfamiliar with the series, set in the 1980s, it follows two Russian spies living in America as a normal American couple raising two children in suburban Va. The two spies get highly classified information by developing relationships (even marriage) with Americans working in government, the defense industry, and even the military. They'll use love, sex, blackmail, violent threats, or any other available device to get highly classified information.

Now, I know that the plot line seems very far fetched, but it's still a great show.

2. your last sentence did it for me....I watched for two or three years,

but gave up....especially because of the lame "disguises"

reminded me of nobody recognizing clark kent

loved some of the characters, especially the female soviet embassy worker who made the fbi guy fall for her

she was so lovely

just couldn't do it any more

that said, anyone can give it a try, and see how long they last. it works for awhile

9. set in 80s reagan era

that's the part I like the best....they really nail him and his stooges

I lived in arlington the whole time period in which this is set

try it and see

lots of interesting characters, almost all the sympathetic ones are soviet, which is an interesting take

it wore off on me, though....just went too far with the plot lines

12. I've been uncertain about this season

I've eagerly awaited new seasons and new episodes of the show until now. Currently, I'm not sure I can deal with it. Will it still be entertaining in a world with the background noise of #TrumpRussia? I'm uncertain. I guess this is what my DVR is made for. If it's too much, I can stop watching.

For a similar reason, I've wondered whether I'll be able to enjoy House of Cards when it returns.
