The CNN mess up! With video.

I hardly ever watch CNN, too damn annoying, but a poster at Daily Kos captured the 10 minutes of full fledged embarrassment this morning.

Note the excitement in Wolfie's and John DB King's voice when they thought it was going down, and then the complete change in tone after they figured out they were wrong. Hell John King's comments were out of control slanted but the tone is truly telling.

2. The problem is trying to be first instead of trying to be right.

This happens all the time, although this is an extreme example of it.

There should be some kind of hold on this kind of thing until people know what the truth is.

3. Agree

I can understand the website mess ups, they had three pages ready to go, made too quick of a call and then threw up the wrong one.

The video is a great showcase of Wolfie/King bias.

4. Yep

If you read the first line, it does appear that the mandate is unconstitional.

CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS concluded in Part III–A that the individual mandate is not a valid exercise of Congress’s power under the Commerce Clause and the Necessary and Proper Clause. Pp. 16

It isn't until page 4 of the opinion that it is ruled constitutional under the taxing authority. Prior to that, it is ruled unconstitutional under both the Commerce Clause and the Necessary and Proper Clause.

They just didn't take time to read the entire opinion.

5. One never reads the first paragraph of a Supe

opinion and assumes it tells the whole story. Especially one with so many clauses to deal with and and one in which the govt gave 2 different defenses of just the individual mandate part, both Commerce and Taxation.

The problem was that the producer had not done sufficient homework prior to going to court. In addition, he should have studied Roberts' writing style on complicated decisions. But then the producer never went to law school.

6. K&R

Wow.

"It's a blow. It's a blow. It's a blow." Their entire network has been a "blow" to Ted Turner's original vision.
