My fear is that they're playing the Long Con: Setting us up to prevent Dem wins in 2018/2020

Has anyone else considered that what we are witnessing in our country may be a classic, multi-level long con game being played by Putin-Bannon-Flynn-Manafort, maybe even McConnell (but not Donnie-poo, he's obviously just a puppet, a typical front man who can't be given too many details of the scam for his own good and for the good of the scam), the kind of con in which we, the mark, think we caught the grifters in their grift, we think we have exposed the hidden ace up the sleeve, but in fact they wanted us to see the ace, because they want us to agree that the game has been rigged. Say we manage to win a majority in one or both houses in 2018, a possibility that seems more likely all the time, or take back the WH in 2020, but we've all been set up because, look, the game is rigged, the vote is invalid: the Russians. The "real" vote count shows that the GOP keep their majority/shitgibbon stays put in Mar-a-Lago North. The dismantling of the Republic goes on...this is what frightens me because at that point what options are left but all-out insurrection?

So... first they install their puppet and run the government past him with a shadow-cabinet.

Except that they sacrifice their puppet in exchange for... what? President Pence? After the Republicans have already publicly and repeatedly tied themselves to Trump?

And then the Republicans try to make the argument that the 2018/2020-elections were rigged by the Russians but that 2016 was in no way rigged by the Russians?
WTF???

Your conspiracy-theory is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally nonsensical.

The mark always thinks he's too smart to be played. That's the whole point. But add another "e" to "really" if it helps you. Your high-horse skepticism has been duly noted. Thanks for playing.

so once donnie is gone, the next reich-wing president will seem calm, sane, and normal, while implementing fascist policies.

we are fucked, as a people, and there's more where that came from.

Rationality is no longer important. Power holding is all.

we will take either the senate or the House in 2018.
Too many Dems and not enough Repukes running in the Senate. Gerrymandering and voter suppression in the House.

It's just unlikely we get the 23 seats needed to take the majority.

and IF (only IF) the economy takes a shit then we could possibly win even more House seats than needed. But the stars would need to align to get beyond the big gerrymandered areas.

for the economy to tank. The GOP policies will take time to screw things up.

And after the last election, I do not trust the American voter.

But with Drumpf, all bets are off.

Are they helping people get the needed documentation and thus their photo IDs? Bus trips to DMV sites?

Are they doing anything to combat, legally challange, or counter BS schemes like Cross Check?

Are they recruiting quality candidates to challange to GOP on every possible level of government?

Honest to God; If the Democrats would become more proactive, they can reduce the chances of GOP theft!
