I realize the penalties for treason can and have varied. But if a death penalty should

happen to be imposed (hypothetical), what are the rules? i.e.: can we impose burning at the stake for example?) Inquiring minds would like to know.

§2381. Treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

As for trump's cronies if they knew they are duty bound to report it per Section 2382. Punishment up to 7 years in Prison plus fine.
Those found guily of seditious conspiracy ( sedition a lesser charge than treason ). 0- 20 years in prison.

§2382. Misprision of treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make known the same to the President or to some judge of the United States, or to the governor or to some judge or justice of a particular State, is guilty of misprision of treason and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both.

§2384. Seditious conspiracy

We need to be better than our Enemies. I have no problem with Life in Prison for those guilty of aiding the Enemy/Treason. Remove them from society. I think what Trump and Tillerson are doing is Seditious. They are trying to destroy the State Department, a core part of the U.S. Government. I do believe this rises to the level of Treason and Sedition.

Similar things might happen in other Departments and Agencies, like the EPA. The gutting of the State Department is an Act of Treason. It is playing into the hands of Putin and the Oligarchs who rule Russia and who oppress true Russian democrats and patriots. The Russians are not our enemies; Putin and his anti-democratic Regime are the enemy. They oppress the Russian People. The Putin Regime is an enemy of America and of democratic forces around the world.

I'm not quite as hardcore as I used to be, but generally am against it.

As far as 45 and the rest of the traitors, I'd much rather see them in prison for the rest of their lives. Solitary confinement would be good. It would be worse than death for someone like 45.

Strip them of all wealth, make them get a menial job and live like the rest of us, new Trumpcare and all. Make them and their kids pay taxes and have a boss, take everything away from them and keep them alive and if they make more than 45,000.00 in a year take over the rest. Let the press hound them for the rest of their lives. I can dream can't I?
