Newsome is probably going to run for gov, but I've heard rumors he might run for senate. Newsome would make an awful senator, plus he's got baggage. Schiff is pretty squeekly clean is my impression.

He was mayor of SF and gave the go-ahead for same-sex marriges before it was legal. That's what I consider the good news. I've heard him in a couple interviews, including one with Maher. He sounds very corporate, business-friendly. I don't see what he stands for. If he ran for POTUS, he would have a hard time connecting with people, IMO.

The other baggage is old and personal. I won't go into it becasue for me it isn't important or worth repeating. But others will probably did it up.
