apologies to our DU friends in Kansas, but you really need to take your state back.

7. We tried, but as a Wichita State math professor showed, there were serious

statistical anomalies in the vote count, and she has been prevented by the Brownback gang from checking the raw data.

27. Here's an aricle from Beth's web site (show me the votes).

http://showmethevotes.org/2016/11/28/exit-poll-results-machine-vote-counts-were-altered-in-s-e-kansas/

Read some of the comments of people who have read her articles about this. Those who raise the usual objections that have been raised since this red tilt has become commonplace are all the same. The most popular is the "Reluctant Republican Responder" thesis; that is, that Republicans are more reluctant to disclose their vote that Dems. Ask yourself if this makes any sense. Why would this be true? Give a good reason before you bring up this idea. Usually, it's those in a hurry who need to get back to work who refuse to respond and my feeling is that this group is probably composed of more Dems than Repubs.

Beth Clarkson has been crusading for a long time now to get fair and VERIFIED elections in KS. But this is not a problem just in KS; it's a problem all over the country and it has been going on since at least 2002. One of the best overall sources of information about what is going on is Jon Simon's book CODE RED. He continues to analyze the results of elections all over the country and by his estimate, Kansas has about a 7 pt red tilt, one of the largest in the country.

9. Walker is killing Wisconsin

I've lived in WI all my life and have always been proud of my home state until now. The Rethuglicans have gerrymandered the state until it is becoming almost impossible to elect a Democrat. I live in the 7th District and despite some excellent Dems we can't get past Sean Duffy.
I hate what is happening to my state and can only hope the Supreme Court will look at our gerrymandering and rule in the Dems favor.

To add insult to injury! I love Minnesota. Our daughter lives there with her family and we are going to retire there soon.

As Ryan's constituent you have great influence over Congress because you can call him and express your views. Call daily

16. By the grapevine from a Paul Ryan neighbor

Three mail trucks a day make deliveries to his private residence. Reportedly postcard supporting Obamacare (ACA)

That is a lot of RESISTING ..... but he has proven he doesn't care.

TIME for PAUL RYAN to go home permanently and read his mail.

10. Unfortunately the Repubs control both houses of the state legislature now

So now, we're essentially playing defense - Dayton vetoing or promising to veto the garbage the state legislature is throwing at him.

And the governorship is an open seat in 2018....

30. The voters in Minnesota can't see this either

Last edited Sat Mar 25, 2017, 10:45 PM - Edit history (1)

as they (mainly the rural areas) turned the state legislature over to the Republicans. Currently Mark Dayton is all that stands between us and the forces of darkness.

What is really maddening is that this was the situation the first 2 years Mark was governor. That time the Republicans tried to overreach so badly that in 2014 the voters turned the state house over to the DFL. That two year period is when most the good stuff got done. Then in 2016, the state House went Republican and in 2016 the House stayed Republican and the state Senate was handed over to them as well.

17. Trying to fact-check so I don't get the "fake news" treatment and came across this...

http://www.twincities.com/2016/10/23/health-care-trump-polls-paulsen-nolan-craig-lewis/

They are likely still grappling with Healthcare costs. I read California may show the way going forward. I want Jerry Brown to pivot next year to a new job of helping states achieve success under ACA. A Sort of de Facto health care czar.

This is just even more proof that when a state or even our country is run by progressives the results are positive. When adults are in charge everyone wins.

24. Minnesota is such a great state. I can't figure out what happened to Wisconsin.

Why can't they get out from under the grip of the GOP and the Koch brothers?

California is another great state with a phenomenal economy and good government.

I'm stuck here in IL hell with the Scott Walker wannabe Bruce let-them-eat-cake Rauner. The only good thing is that Chris Kennedy will be challenging him for the governorship and I think Mr. Kennedy is very much in the Dayton mold. I think we have a great chance to return to democratic governorship.
