O'Donnell again tonight showed clip of Ryan saying he "had to brief the speaker first" before going to WH. Asks, "Why are no reporters picking up on Ryan involvement in Nunes scandal? Ive showed this clip three times of Nunes saying he had to brief the speaker before he did anything else, and yet no one is picking up on it."
"Ryan is at the center of the scandal. The press apparently didnt hear it when he said it in the WH driveway when he said he first went to Ryan before going to the WH. Everything he did after that would have been at the direction of Ryan. "
"The Nunes scandal is Paul Ryans scandal. That is why Ryan wont remove him. Ryan is in it as deep as Nunes is. If Nunes can lose the chairmanship over it, Ryan can lose the speakership over it. "
I have wondered myself why more aren't picking up on this, even on DU. See this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028850749
for O'Donnell show video and transcript from Thursday where he raises this question of why no one seems to be picking up on Ryan's involvement and says Nunes is covering up for Ryan; that Nunes fell on his sword for Ryan.
This is very important; it means Ryan is colluding as well as Nunes! Not only colluding, but directing Nunes. Much more in the thread from the Thursday show linked to above, but O'Donnell feels it so important that he brought it up for the third time tonight.
He also had former CIA director on telling why it was critical to Nunes and Ryan to stop Sally Yates testimony.

(6,916 posts)Ryan might have started with just keeping Trump in power so Ryan can ram through more granny-starving laws.
But now Ryan's complicit in the coverup. Obstruction of justice, anyone?

(9,857 posts)ran the clip , as he said for the third time, of Nunes saying he first went to Ryan. He felt it was important enough that he brought it up a third time! I posted a couple different threads on DU about it Friday and Sunday, but generated very little interest. I thought it was super important and so does O'Donnell, clearly, if he is bringing it up for the third time. Video link isn't up yet on MSNBC. I don't know where the first place is it's available.

(28,795 posts)outside that little world, it doesn't seem like it's catching on anywhere else. certainly there's no evidence of raised eyebrows in the police procedural reality series into which this horrorshow is devolving

seems like they're going to be communicating among the three of them as they try to weasel out of their gigantic mistake in putting the mouthbreathing Nunes in a position to bring down the whole deal

Guccifer contacted small town media outlets in targeted House races. Confidential campaign info was offered to the reporters. It was published to the Democratic (of course) candidates' detriment. That's in the first link, a story published by the NY Times in December 2016.
And, Ryan knew. He knew it was hacked. He knew Guccifer 2.0 was involved. Rep. Pelosi asked him not to use the hacked material. He said it wasn't under his control. He knew.
They all did. They are traitors.

(9,857 posts)in the bag, between Russia and the usual R dirty tricks; voter suppression, Crosscheck, etc. AT least McConnell knew and most likely Ryan...all the ones who think they can do whatever they want and ignore constituents - I think that is the key to knowing who was in on it; the ones who think they can get away with anything and don't care about constituents, because if they know it's rigged, constituents no longer matter. At least that is my conspiracy theory.
