O'Donnell tonight:Ryan at center of Nunes scandal. R in as deep as N; this why R won't remove Nunes

O'Donnell again tonight showed clip of Ryan saying he "had to brief the speaker first" before going to WH. Asks, "Why are no reporters picking up on Ryan involvement in Nunes scandal? Iíve showed this clip three times of Nunes saying he had to brief the speaker before he did anything else, and yet no one is picking up on it."

"Ryan is at the center of the scandal. The press apparently didnít hear it when he said it in the WH driveway when he said he first went to Ryan before going to the WH. Everything he did after that would have been at the direction of Ryan. "

"The Nunes scandal is Paul Ryanís scandal. That is why Ryan wonít remove him. Ryan is in it as deep as Nunes is. If Nunes can lose the chairmanship over it, Ryan can lose the speakership over it. "

I have wondered myself why more aren't picking up on this, even on DU. See this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028850749
for O'Donnell show video and transcript from Thursday where he raises this question of why no one seems to be picking up on Ryan's involvement and says Nunes is covering up for Ryan; that Nunes fell on his sword for Ryan.

This is very important; it means Ryan is colluding as well as Nunes! Not only colluding, but directing Nunes. Much more in the thread from the Thursday show linked to above, but O'Donnell feels it so important that he brought it up for the third time tonight.

He also had former CIA director on telling why it was critical to Nunes and Ryan to stop Sally Yates testimony.

2. Ryan is complicit in coverup now -- even if at first just trying to ram granny-starving laws

Ryan might have started with just keeping Trump in power so Ryan can ram through more granny-starving laws.

But now Ryan's complicit in the coverup. Obstruction of justice, anyone?

3. Coverup. This is feeling more and more like Watergate 2.0.

Hopefully there are a lot of top level redumbliCONs involved in this mess.

4. O'Donnell said it was clearly a cover up but that Nunes is in so far over his head, he doesn't even

know how to do a proper cover up.

17. My impression of Nunes is that he isn't very bright.

There are smart, corrupt people and dumb corrupt people. Poor Devin appears to be the latter.

6. the obvious nugget from the OP:

The Nunes scandal is Paul Ryanís scandal

this HAS to go beyond ODonnell, yes?

7. Exactly! O'Donnell seemed frustrated that no one was picking up on this and that's why he

ran the clip , as he said for the third time, of Nunes saying he first went to Ryan. He felt it was important enough that he brought it up a third time! I posted a couple different threads on DU about it Friday and Sunday, but generated very little interest. I thought it was super important and so does O'Donnell, clearly, if he is bringing it up for the third time. Video link isn't up yet on MSNBC. I don't know where the first place is it's available.

9. actually, I've heard this brought up, but quickly dropped, at CNN, as well, but

outside that little world, it doesn't seem like it's catching on anywhere else. certainly there's no evidence of raised eyebrows in the police procedural reality series into which this horrorshow is devolving

10. It's a critical piece for people to get who keep saying Ryan has to replace Nunes that

Nunes took his orders from Ryan in the first place. Fox and hen house again.

11. maybe nunes is the bond still holding WH and Ryan together, after he sicced judge drunk Pirro

on him over the weekend, signaling that they want him out the door

seems like they're going to be communicating among the three of them as they try to weasel out of their gigantic mistake in putting the mouthbreathing Nunes in a position to bring down the whole deal

19. House races were hacked, too

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/13/us/politics/house-democrats-hacking-dccc.html

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/07/us/politics/nancy-pelosi-urges-paul-ryan-to-ban-republicans-from-using-hacked-documents.html

Guccifer contacted small town media outlets in targeted House races. Confidential campaign info was offered to the reporters. It was published to the Democratic (of course) candidates' detriment. That's in the first link, a story published by the NY Times in December 2016.

And, Ryan knew. He knew it was hacked. He knew Guccifer 2.0 was involved. Rep. Pelosi asked him not to use the hacked material. He said it wasn't under his control. He knew.

They all did. They are traitors.

23. I think that is why McConnell didn't consider Garland for SCOTUS. They knew they had the election

in the bag, between Russia and the usual R dirty tricks; voter suppression, Crosscheck, etc. AT least McConnell knew and most likely Ryan...all the ones who think they can do whatever they want and ignore constituents - I think that is the key to knowing who was in on it; the ones who think they can get away with anything and don't care about constituents, because if they know it's rigged, constituents no longer matter. At least that is my conspiracy theory.
