and that smokeless tobacco is linked to mouth cancer, and can rot teeth, I don't see that happening, especially among women, who make up a very small minority of current smokeless tobacco users.

but the point is many folks wouldn't do it. The better question is what if everyone switched to some other method for getting their nicotine fix? E-cig, etc?

Scratch the litter part. Maybe not as many cigarette butts, but they'd be spitting juice & chaw all over the damn place.
