from Bill Palmer: Former White House staffer says Trump is considering resigning - because of Flynn

For all it's worth, Palmer has been pretty right on lately - Louise Mensch said he got a few things wrong last week - but we can all hope.
I don't know who Claude Taylor is so............

Now that Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser is offering to testify in Trump’s Russia scandal in exchange for immunity, it significantly narrows the path for Trump managing to survive the scandal himself. Flynn is essentially admitting he’s guilty just by asking for immunity, and such a deal will only be granted if Flynn can take down a bigger fish; that fish would be Trump. So it doesn’t come as a total shock to see a credible report tonight that Donald Trump is considering resigning.

Claude Taylor, who worked on three presidential campaigns and served on President Bill Clinton’s White House staff, tweeted the following this evening: “An ind journalist I have worked with-who has been reliable-says they have 2 sources that say Trump is considering options-incl resignation.” Here’s the tweet in its proper formatting:

Although retweets aren’t automatically endorsements, Claude Taylor’s tweet was retweeted by Harvard Law Professor and constitutional expert Laurence Tribe, who added his own thoughts:

By all means, @realDonaldTrump, keep that resigning option on the table!

#FLASH A previously reliable source says they have 2 further sources stating Trump is "considering his options, including resignation".

Didn't Feinstein say this after her briefing last week, or week before? The one where Burr and Nunes werent notified?
I can see this. An old spoiled, rich, obese, maybe Alzheimer sufferer old man, Trump would rather tweet about other people and maybe still go to Rallies and be cheered. Governing is hard work!

I imagined Trump would pose as a victim and pack it in with a mic drop. He'd invent some enemies who were behind his mythical victimization. If it came to pass he'd no doubt dredge up some tired finger pointing at the Clintons. Maybe even try to blame Flynn as being a liar all along for hiding his entanglements with Russia and Turkey from Trump and making a mess for the White House.

Who knows how it would all be framed. But it would amount to Trump packing his stuff and leaving the presidency in a huff hoping it would make us all so happy we'd all shut up and go away.

If he does do anything like this I hope that if he's guilty of colluding with the Russians then the truth comes out and he doesn't get away with things like Chris Christie has so far avoided prosecution.

And honestly, there is a lot of msm reporting that makes this all feel like a bfd. However, I'm a little hesitant to get too excited before something serious and official actually happens. This feels just a little like Fitzmas to me.

FBI Visits Office of Saipan Casino Run by Trump Protege

Agents from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation visited an office belonging to the operator of a casino on the remote U.S. island of Saipan that has attracted attention for its huge revenues, according to a local legislator and residents.

FBI personnel, accompanied by uniformed police officers, arrived Thursday morning at a local office used by Imperial Pacific International Holdings Ltd., the Hong Kong-based company that owns the Best Sunshine Live casino, local residents said. They stayed for several hours, with local police blocking access to the building.

“There definitely was some kind of investigation or raid being done," said Ed Propst, a member of the territorial legislature. "It appears to be a joint effort between local and federal authorities."

The FBI "is not in a position to comment at this time" on any enforcement actions in Saipan, said Michele Ernst, a spokeswoman for the bureau in Hawaii, whose jurisdiction includes the island. An Imperial Pacific representative declined to confirm or deny a visit to its facility by federal law enforcement. Imperial Pacific Chairman Mark Brown did not respond to requests for comment by email and phone
.

Its board members include James Woolsey, who ran the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in the early 1990s and was among national-security advisers to Trump’s presidential campaign. Former FBI director Louis Freeh and Ed Rendell, a former Pennsylvania governor and Democratic National Committee chairman, sit on an advisory committee, as does Haley Barbour, the ex-Mississippi governor and Republican National Committee chairman who’s now a prominent lobbyist.

Woolsey, Freeh and Barbour didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-03-30/fbi-agents-visit-office-of-saipan-casino-run-by-trump-protege?cmpid=socialflow-twitter-business&utm_content=business&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
