The new Russian Army?

From CBS News yesterday (my bolding for emphasis):

Warner and his colleagues heard details about Russia’s vast information warfare campaign, which involves at least 15,000 operatives worldwide writing and spreading false news stories and conspiracy theories online. Witnesses said the effort goes back years and often starts with Russian-backed media.

How is this any different than 15,000 armed Russian troops invading the US? And that is only one instance. Much cheaper, and more effective, than tanks rolling into Eastern Europe? An actual invasion of the US? Who knows how many cybertroops the Russians have.

Pretty scary stuff.

8. WaPo - How Ed Schultz transformed from MSNBC lefty to the American face of Moscow media

Schultz, in other words, went to work for “Putie.”

The transition would require a bit of adjustment.

Schultz now hosts RT America’s signature evening newscast, “News With Ed Schultz,” produced in a studio located three blocks from the White House. Schultz is the American face — ruddy, beefy, with a megaphone voice — of a Moscow-based media organization that reports the news a little differently than CNN or NBC.

“Good evening, friends,” Schultz boomed on his program one recent evening before swiftly segueing into “the alleged hacking” of the presidential election by Russia. Schultz skipped the latest details, such as President Obama’s views on the matter or the consensus among American intelligence agencies about the extent of Russian meddling. Instead he went straight to Ed Schultz’s view of the matter: “This has become a lifeline for Clinton supporters in an effort to reverse the outcome of the election. .?.?. In the meantime, the story has entered the arena of outrageous.”

2. TYT - In Blaming Russia to Deflect From Leaks, Is The DNC Trying to Kill Alternate Media

The Young Turns has been going on a pro-Russian Bender.

https://tytnetwork.com/2016/10/28/blaming-russia-deflect-leaks-dnc-trying-kill-alternate-media-protect-wall-street/

Besides fighting Republicans, Donald Trump, and progressive liberals, the DNC and party lines have taken on a new opponent in the Russian government and media – but why are they choosing to pick this fight, and how far are they willing to go?

When Hillary Clinton called out Russia for directly sabotaging the U.S. election, and days earlier, the U.K. unceremoniously cuts Russian Today‘s long-established bank accounts, we have to begin asking ourselves some difficult questions about why the Democratic party is so motivated to smear and alienate Russia and its international media conglomerate from the American consumer.

6. Glenn Greenwald Believes Obama and the CIA is Lying About Russian Hacks, But Has No Evidence to Supp

Glenn Greenwald has been trying to one-up Trump in attacking allegations of Russian interference as fake news.

http://thedailybanter.com/2017/01/glenn-greenwald-obama-russian-hacks/

In his never ending crusade to rid America of moderate liberals and anyone who doesn't believe Ed Snowden is the second coming of Jesus Christ, Glenn Greenwald has been doing the media rounds desperately attempting to prove that Obama and the Democrats have been lying about the Russian DNC hacks.

Greenwald has published story after story undermining what he views as an "smear" job by the DNC and the mainstream liberal media, and has even appeared on Fox News to cast doubt on the veracity of the Obama administration's claims. Of course Greenwald is framing this as him "just asking questions" while the corrupt, slavish media blindly tows the official line from the government. Wrote Greenwald in early December:
