Who do you think will be the lead singer in the chorus?
Or, do they already have enough evidence to send them all to jail for life?
Or, is Trump's cyber-lynching going to work, is it all the black guy's fault?
How many crooks do you predict in Watergate factors (one factor equals 40 government officials indicted or jailed)?

Hopefully it won't end with that like it did with Nixon.

(32,351 posts)She knows about the early activities, but maybe not so much on the cover-up activities.
Trump fired her pretty quickly.
Also I'm pretty sure Sally is the one who suggested that Obama make a list of all the numbered documents in evidence. Brilliant move!

(15,226 posts)The Nunes fiasco is a case in point. Everyone knows what he did to the intelligence subcommittee was wrong and violated all codes of conduct. I maintain there is zero accountability for all Republican actions that is from misdemeanor to capital crime. Trump is in a position to steal, promote and legislate what he wants. The Obama administration could make a list of all documentation, Trump can in turn ignore classify what he wants.

(51,129 posts)I'm thinking he is sooo damn petty, he could not recover psychologically from Obama's humiliation at the WH Correspondent's Dinner.
And now Trump is cyber-lynching Obama to save his own ass from a far greater humiliation at his own hands and wants to blame the black guy and jail him too.

(51,129 posts)That's like Jeb Bush thinking he could run without changing his name.
At least we have Jeb to thank for the #TrumpRussia dossier. Jeb did America a solid compared to his brother, albeit unwittingly as his witless sibling.

Off to a great start, Ivanka. We can really count on you, now that there is nothing left.
Why don't you get your sleek rich ass busy tryimg to foil that? That would be real, roll your sleeves up of your $700 designer dtesses, get in the gutter and work, rather than just showing off your body, Pretty face, and expensive clothes. Guess it's not your thing, after all.

funny that the idea that he interfered w the primaries is finally coming up. it must have been pointed out here 100 times a day.

(67,032 posts)was shocked as hell when he won. He's a sponge for complements, like a drug for him, and the deplorables were his supplier.
Most sane people IMO if they had what he has would have just enjoyed that. For him, it's a compulsion. He's opened himself up to likely full scale investigations, things that might have just flowed over the dam, but now IMO he's opened himself up and his family and cohorts to all kinds of scrutiny/investigations. ... and who knows, possibly mob connections. I think he's between a rock and a hard place. If he would lay off his stupid comments and tweets that might calm some of the flame, but my god, he stokes the embers every chance he gets with stupid comments and tweets, etc.
Plus, on top of all of this, he doesn't know WTF he's doing.

(146,192 posts)at least one will guess correctly and write at length about it. There are only so many possibilities, so someone's bound to get it right.
Time will tell the real story, and then we can all bow down before the blogger who guessed correctly.

(60,010 posts)Trump, like Nixon, is responsible for the problem.
But it was the plumbers threatening to sing, which led Nixon to offer a million in cash to help keep them quiet, and then to try to cover it up, actually in several attempts, each time the hole got deeper.
Same with Trump.
And so far, Pence has not been mentioned much, really, nor does their seem to be much focus on him.
his only "crime" besides being a pathological walking loaf of Wonder bread, was to be introduced to Trump for the VP by Manafort.
gonna take a new searchlight to see if that connection with Manafort is crooked. Until then, Pence looks to be a winner when Trump goes down, and may be allowed to keep VP, depending on how and who ends up negotiating.
Meanwhile, I am encouraged by the number of republcians who are finally figuring out Trump is an albatross to them.

(11,996 posts)And the crimes they committed are the hacks into various databases and servers. They will release indictments on a few foreigners identified for hacking.
They won't prove trump was complicit in those crimes 'enough' to matter to the Repubs to impeach.
Same with Manafort, and Stone, Kushner, etc.....they will have a hard time PROVING conspiracy, or whatever the charges would be appropriate for knowing without doubt that SOMEONE you talked to has committed cyber crimes.
They may get Flynn on the Logan Act.
They have been investigating this for at least 8 months, and most of the major players for various transgressions including money laundering and organized crime links and undermining Ukraine and whatever else for years, and nothing yet.
If things do go our way, it'll be foreign intel source(s) that brings someone down.
ETA: just a notion, just as likely I'll be wrong, and Pence will be President eventually.
