"Dear America, @realDonaldTrump is running the White House as a family business. You've seen how their businesses end: broke and failing."
Man, he's come out with some cutting stuff.

(23,318 posts)I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who saidTwo vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

(21,990 posts)I suspect that once the sweater was sold to Marshall's, probably at a price below cost, Ivanka Trump's company took a write-off on the loss. Simply, she wins if it's sold and she sort-of wins if it doesn't. In any event, her company wouldn't get a piece of the selling price, whether it's $64.00, $39.99 or even $1.00, once it's been removed from her company's inventory.
Here's a thought puzzle or conundrum: what if I buy ten of the marked-down sweaters at $1.00 apiece and then give them to homeless people? Does that turn the rotten lemon into lemonade?
