This is why we can not let McConnell, Trump, and the other Putin-Pals win this with Gorsuch.

(68,469 posts)It is to show Democrats fighting Trump and paying back the GOP for blocking Garland.Turtle boy is going to use the nuclear option and put Gorsuch on...so let's be reasonable here...maybe down the road we can remove him...illegitimate? I don't know but we won't stop him so all the 'sky is falling posts are really for no reason. Stop blaming the Democratic Senate...the voters failed them and us by not sending a majority of Dems to the Senate.

(35,038 posts)This shouldn't be seen as about the sky falling, I think we really need to ask start asking ourselves when does McConnell's senate no longer represent the political institution described in the first article of the US Constitution? After healthcare, after obstructing Obama for the sake of purely obstructing him, after letting partisan politics decide how they interact with Trump, and now him sending a justice to the Supreme Court even if it means changing the rules for Trump? What should the last straw be if not here?

(68,469 posts)but we have no constitutional way to deal with with this mess...even if Trump is impeached Gorsuch will remain...I don't even know if you can impeach SCOTUS judges.
