We can only assume that someone is getting very close to the truth.

The attacks upon Susan Rice is a defensive volley, coming on the heels of the report of Carter Page meeting with a Russian spy and Blackwater CEO Eric Prince meeting with some Russian in the Seychelles Islands off Africa to discuss opening a secret channel of communication with none other than Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

We say, investigate it all. But the Trump/Russian investigation is not going away. It is very doubtful that Susan Rice was able to unmask all these "innocent" citizens all by herself? It appears that she would not have been doing her job if she had not put them under surveillance?

As it is, nobody in the public knows the names of these people. The chairs of the Intelligence Committees do not know the names of these people. The only name that is officially in the public domain is General Michael Flynn. Who wishes to defend his privacy rights at this time?

If anything, she got their real identities, right? They were already under surveillance or caught up in surveillance, but she didn't order it, right?

"It would likely be legal for Rice to request the unmasking—“The standard for senior officials to learn the names of U.S. persons incidentally collected is that it must have some foreign intelligence value, a standard that can apply to almost anything,” Lake notes.

but it would definately appear that prior to his work on the Trump camapign, Carter Page was know to intelligence agencies and the FBI

I would think the appearance of his name associated with the Trump campaign would have automatically raised red flags.

must be getting very nervous. The web of deception is unraveling, finally. This adminstration is so full of nepotism, back handed deals and corruption it is destroying the entire US government. The gop should wise up, finally do the jobs they were elected to do. Why does Nunes have so much power, he can shut down the meetings of the intelligence inquiry? The gop should replace the traitor, or the democrats on the committee should go ahead with the meetings without him. He has plainly shown his bias.

the work of other REAL journalists like David Corn who are making the case Trump and Russia are guilty as hell.

Taibbi makes excuses for his own laziness and stupidity by trying the "they're all equally corrupt" bullshit.

To confuse them and keep them from bailing. One set of allegations is based in fact, the other innuendo and cotton candy.

A brainwashed constituency is Trump's best friend.
