Sheriff's Office: Gas filled barge runs aground in Catskill,NY
CATSKILL, NY (WRGB) - Crews are on the scene after reports that a barge has run into some rocks on the Hudson River.
The Greene County Sheriff's Office says that the barge, they say was transporting gasoline, ran up and onto some rocks near Duchman's Landing Park.
The barge, according to the Governor's Office contained 2.5 million gallons of gasoline. That fuel will be pumped out of the barge, then the barge will be evaluated for any damage.
