1. The worst part about those who escape...

Their families are generally murdered. Everyone. Even if they didn't escape, or plan the escape, themselves. Anyone associated with the person who escapes is either sent to those camps or executed. It's an awful situation.

I get the uncomfortable feeling that some of the rabid part of the RW would think this is a good thing in the US if one didn't comply with their direction.

His father's brothers escaped, and so the whole family that remained was thrown into the camp for life.
