President Trump resented ousted Steve Bannon for ‘hogging the spotlight’: Fox News’ John Roberts

With conflicting stories coming out of the White House over President Donald Trump senior adviser Steve Bannon being booted from the National Security Council, a Fox News White House correspondent claim’s Trump had problems with Bannon overshadowing him.

According to John Roberts of Fox News, Trump has not been entirely happy with his political guru Bannon.

“We are also told that maybe the President was not particularly happy at the way Bannon had been grabbing the limelight,” Roberts reported before adding, “That may have played into all of this.”

Earlier in the day the son of former national security adviser Michael Flynn called the Bannon ouster a power play by the man who replaced his dad, tweeting, “Fact 1: Flynn/Bannon most loyal to DJT (both out at NSC),” he wrote on Twitter. “Fact 2: McMaster wont say ‘Radical Islam.’”

And I can see it as having an effect on Trump. His ego needs all the room.

4. I think they helped

but I think what did it was most likely Pig Pen's advice on Syria. Someone gave Assad the green light to step up his attacks 5 days before the Sarin attack. My guess is that Pig Pen was in the thick of it, if not the sole author of that advice.

He's still Chief of Staff, there is simply no one to replace him. I doubt his advice will be taken seriously from now on.

Other factors: likely the NSA and other agencies wouldn't give any raw intelligence to the NSC while Pig Pen was still on it, he was a massive security risk that could have obliterated everything. I'm sure seeing Flynn trying to cut some sort of deal for his testimony (and he'll get one, eventually, that will fall far short of full immunity) made Pig Pen's presence on the NSC a massive liability.

Or he might have sassed Dolt45 at just the wrong time. We'll never know for sure.
