Erica Enders made NHRA history as the first woman to win an NHRA Pro Stock event when she outran Greg Anderson in a rematch of last year's final, 6.62 to 6.64.
She's 28 years old and has been racing in this male dominated class since 2005. It was great to see her win today.
meant to post this in the Lounge...sorry...hope it doesn't offend anybody if it stays here?

there is nothing more exciting that to cut the light with a hole shot and know your going to beat the pants off the other guy. (keeping fingers crossed)

(9,981 posts)2. Erica is a real :"gunfighter:" on the "tree"
Reaction times are documented for every driver on every run these days, and Pro Stock is full of "Hired guns"

Women aren't an oddity in the NHRA like they are in most types of motorsports.

(93 posts)7. I watched that race
They both cut a good light, she just got around on horsepower.
It's a good team they ain't going away.
On a side Courtney Force is a duplicate of her dad. Always 2 doses of 5 hour energy...oh, and great teeth.

I would've missed this as I don't pay attention much to sports.
