Mother Fucking Rick Scott

So he's not going to accept the federal funding and implement new lower thresholds for people to get Medicaid assistance... Floridians are already paying the federal taxes, but won't get to see it.

So three months ago I was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic lupus erythematosus), Lupus Nephritis (lupus attacking the kidneys <and liver in my case&gt , and a degenerative neuromuscular mixed connective tissue disease where the muscles nearest my trunk had been wasting away. Blah blah blah, I'm fine, but I can no longer work and have had to apply for Social Security Disability at the ripe old age of 36.

So, I applied for Medicaid to help defray the costs of more than a week in the hospital plus all the new doctors I get to see and extensive blood labwork I'll have done every other week for the foreseeable future. I was approved for Medicaid to pick up the tab for everything above $3500 a month. I was denied other coverage, but was near the threshold that Obama's ACA would've probably helped pay more of the bills.

So Rick Scott, Teabagger extraordinaire would rather have me go fuck myself, along with countless others, so that Obama does not get credit for helping Floridians?

My wife doesn't understand why/how one evil fuckstick, er person, can have that much power. All I can say is I better watch what I say. So help me gawd if I ever find out I'm terminal (I'm doing well right now, honestly), I might use my last bit of strength to (message censored).

So, Rick Scott, on behalf of all those you are hurting with your pigheaded politics, here's a big ol FUCK YOU!

He's proven since he first entered office that he's only here to cater to narrow business interests and deliver Florida to the Republicans in 2012.

So, yeah.

Fuck him.

making plans to defeat Scott for re-election?

Are you collecting info that will be useful when filing suits against Scott? Do you have a plan? Have you picked out a candidate?

Just thought I'd ask.

The current crop of Florida democrats is so weak that scion Lawton Chiles Jr. decided to go independent, which means the Democrats will attack him more than any GOP (see Debbie Wasserman Schulz for reference). So far, the one hope is that Charlie Crist joins the Democrats.

Yeah, Charlie Crist,..

I hate the Florida Dems.

Brownbackistan too and then all of his selfish bitter-hearted Kochbots in our legislature cut corporate taxes to zero and raised taxes on the Middle and Lower Classes to fix our wrecked state budget and pay for holding-pens, I mean . . . education for Kansas students.

He even admitted that all of it is an experiment. The tax cuts seeding "capital" for Brownback's Jesus-plus-nothing (TM) religious buddies to spread their extensive enterprises from Johnson County, which they already rule, into the rest of the state. & Cable-tv-style leasing-model private access to clean water is moving into the state.

I heard from a friend today about a long-term care facility that is going down hill fast, read that chemical restraints, other chemical management, and buzzy kumbayahh hospice for under-staffed "care" facilities with elders and their families in need of "solutions".

.................................................

Wondering here if there are grounds for people like you to sue your state. What do you think?

It's the only way they learn. For stunts like playing with people's lives like this, there should be risks involved for assholes who want to see this happen. Civil rights should NEVER be played with. And health care should be a right.

15. McConnell says Healthcare for 30 million people is not the point.
Mon Jul 2, 2012, 02:51 AM
Jul 2012

McConnell's statement on Face the Nation this morning really pissed me off. But McConnell told us EXACTLY what the GOP thinks. His point is that only the greedy bastard insurance companies can run the show. And as you know, Rick Scott comes from that industry. But frankly I think it's going to be a really hard sell to tell voters that the Fed Gov will tax them for healthcare, but the money will not come to their state. Rather their healthcare tax dollars will go to another state. And doctors won't stand for it either. And neither will we, the people. We're not going back.

It really isn't quite that one "er person" has that much power - you have a state legislature that's supporting him in this decision too. Make noise to you representative, he/she may be more receptive to your complaints.

18. Most of the ACA plan goes into effect in 2014, that's when the extra medicaid kicks in
Mon Jul 2, 2012, 01:43 PM
Jul 2012

Insurance companies are gearing up for it and doing things ahead of schedule in some cases, in other's, like the red states, they are dragging their feet and saying "no". If they refuse to implement a plan of action for the state, then the Federal Govt steps in and creates the program it sees fit to offer along with the same poverty thresholds, etc.

In our case in FL, it may actually be better for us if a greedy pig who came from defrauding medicare out of money stays away from creating a healthcare access system for the state. I can only imagine what the pigs would actually stick us with considering how they have screwed us over car insurance rates and even energy prices (the insane pre-pay for nuclear reactors we will never probably have built) to name a few insane things they have done as of recent.

We will probably be better off with a Govt program to choose from in the long run.... Well, only in Pres Obama makes it into office again to make sure the ACA is implemented in a fair manner and not a "screw you" manner. OR that it isn't voted away forever.

There is a lot of confusion with the ACA, had they been able to implement all the actions immediately, there wouldn't be any negative reaction to the bill. People on our side of the aisle don't seem to understand all the details of the bill and how it will work and when the full implementation will go into effect.

In the case of my home state, they will be doing a single-payer solution. I believe they got the waiver to implement it in 2014, rather than have to wait until 2017... That was the "states opt in" thing, if a state can provide better care in a more affordable way, they are waived from proceeding through some of the Insurance provisions... Essentially, in VT, they will be like Canadians. They will be a test state that eventually federalizes something similar. They will have to worry about people "state jumping" and they will have to make sure they have a way to keep costs and fees and services similar throughout the state and each office. They won't have an insurance card, just a VT health ins card like I see the Canadians carry.
