This is about the eighth or ninth gas attack in the last 10 weeks. Supposedly the others were chlorine gas and this may have been a nerve gas, such as Sarin. Also, it was televised.
I am not comfortable with the way the media seems to be pushing Trump to act militarily. We have troops on the ground in Syria right now. (We don't know the exact number because that information is no longer available) Also, much of the military actions of the Assad government are done by the Russian military. They are there to protect their major interest in the Middle East, including their only naval base on the Mediterranean. They will fight to protect Syria as if it was Stalingrad.
It is no time to rush to judgement, in my opinion.
