In retaliation for Gorsuch, Dems should introduce the "Biden Rule" to the Senate.

The "Biden Rule" McConnell loves to tout was never adopted by the US Senate. It's a made-up precedent.

The Democrats should demand that the US Senate officially adopt the "Biden Rule": No SCOTUS-seat for a President in his last year.

Let's see the Republicans squirm and explain how there is no need to make the "Biden Rule" an actual rule.

How about "upon filing for reelection or last year, whichever comes first"?

The (alleged) point, after all, was because a nomination in election season inevitably becomes a political football.

And what kind of idiot would file for reelection so early in their term, hmmmm?

And the situation—a Supreme Court judge who was possibly going to strategically retire in the summer right before elections—did not involve an entire year.

Both sides know that they're being hypocritical here. It's mostly for show and to energize the base.

If Ginsburg leaves the court a month before the next Presidential election... Republicans will push through the fastest set of nominee hearings in history. It won't be "let the voters decide".

They're still whining and crying like babies over not being able to get rid of Obamacare. They are going to hate losing the senate in 2018 and have the simple majority rule thrown out again.
