What he said -
Trump: We've had 'one of the most successful 13 weeks' in history

President Trump on Thursday insisted he’s had “one of the most successful” starts as president in U.S. history, dismissing the chaos and stalled legislative agenda that has marred his first 100 days in office.

"I think we’ve had one of the most successful 13 weeks in the history of the presidency,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One.

The president cited positive numbers on job creation, negotiations on presidential aircraft prices and his planned military buildup.

Trump’s first weeks in office have been anything but smooth.

The president continues to be dogged by a federal investigation into whether his associates cooperated with Russia in its efforts to meddle in the 2016 presidential election.

The controversy led him to oust retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as national security adviser after it was revealed Flynn misled senior White House officials about his conversations with Russia's ambassador to the U.S.

It shows that he can't count, so couldn't understand what the accounting books were saying.

And he can't keep track of time and dates, so kept missing crucial meetings and deadlines.

But he considers 6 bankruptcies the record of a 'hugely successful, great' businessman, so he's judging his performance as prez by the same gold standard.

It seems like we've lived through 13 years worth of f ups.

It isn't like our side never gets anything wrong, but he specializes in never getting anything right, in always getting everything wrong. Epitomizes the repug party, in style and substance.

No reason the two can't exist side-by-side and feed one another.

If 45's money evaporated (every penny), he'd be homeless in a matter of days. No one could stand to take him in. He'd hang out in rags on a busy street corner, shouting about his greatness at the passing cars.
