A quote!

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country!"

We're the majority right? How much power do we, as citizens have in saving our planet?

I'm just saying if you were cutting back on emissions, looking at solar power for your home, thinking about buying that e-car, then NOW IS THE TIME.

If you're already doing your best? Do better than that! RECYCLE! COMPOST!, PLANT SOME TREES!

These things arent illegal yet. He can't stop the power of the people.

We are an unimaginable ARMY of earth protectors just waiting to do our part.

How many millions more of us are there than them? They can continue their ignorance of mythical "clean coal" and gas guzzling vehicles and polluting the waters. We can offset that plenty if we all REALLY, REALLY, REALLY work harder than we've ever worked before.

It may be costly, it may be an inconvenience to some but look at it this way....

What guides those motherfuckers more than anything? MONEY.

If the economy starts to show that solar panels on roofs are becoming a hot item, that e-cars are REALLY surging in popularity, that home gardening is becoming a fad again, the vegetarianism and veganism is on the rise (and it is)...

Then the corporations will bend towards those demands. We're the money. Look at what power we have over advertisers on conservative shows we don't even watch! They want the money, they gotta follow it, and WE'RE GOING OVER HERE.

Maybe then, they'll finally know where are the fucking jobs are. GREEN ENERGY.

Get rid of your SUV and buy a hybrid or an electric vehicle. Have solar panels installed on your roof. Take the train instead of flying. Take public transportation whenever possible. Switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet. Before you buy something, think about the energy that went into it and what it will end up contributing to a landfill in a few years. Support companies that support the environment. Write letters to the editor about the environment and climate change. Call your representatives (https://www.callmycongress.com) and tell them that you are concerned about climate change and are watching the way they vote.

Recycling makes you feel good, and it's not a bad idea, but it does next to nothing to reduce the amount of plastic that gets produced. Plastics are not really "recycled" but down-cycled. Make sure to recycle, but don't let that make you feel that you're doing something significant to save the environment. There is a reason why the plastics industry loves to talk about how great "recycling" is.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you were wrong. You're right that we don't have to despair. There is a huge amount we can do. And look at California; it's like a country in itself. Those of us who live in other blue states can urge our local politicians to follow California's example.

Something like 2/3 of all the agricultural productivity of the US just goes to growing feed for livestock. Then the livestock contribute a large amount of methane emissions. Everybody can't afford to get a 'green car' or have solar installed, but eating less meat? Easy.

join or donate to an organization that fights this fascist environmental agenda.

(Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, Nature Conservancy, ect.)

Buy a tree from a planting club. It's very affordable. Buy one (or more!) in Trump or Pruitt's name.

6. Native plants!

Replacing the exotic decorative plants in one's garden (if one has one) with native plants is another major good deed for the environment. I've planted a bunch of native plants, and throughout the spring, summer and fall, they are covered with all kinds of insects and butterflies (including Monarch butterflies). They also seem to attract birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. On top of all that, they're much easier to maintain than exotic plants.

Here is a good resource:

I often buy plants from http://www.prairienursery.com, where you can select your soil type and make sure the plant you're buying is native to your region.
