I agree.

Oddly enough, every school I attended no longer exists. They are empty buildings.

I was born in Flint. Later we moved to Grand Blanc. Now I'm in Flint Township.

My parents went to Northern.

Flint has changed so much, during my lifetime. I'm glad to say it is once again a good place to work and visit. LOTS going on, now!

Which I attended at the same time as Dan Kildee (though I didn't know him).

When I first heard that Flint water was being taken from the river, I was horrified. My entire childhood was spent hating when the wind came from the south and we could smell the raw sewage and industrial waste flowing within walking distance of where we lived.

Remember that church that tRump spoke at? I was once a bridesmaid at a wedding there.

My family lives in Flushing, still within smelling distance of that damn open sewer called a river.

People are taking canoe trips on the river, and love it. From what I've been told, there are eagles nesting along it, now. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't eat any fish taken from it, but there are some really beautiful stretches.

The big problem with river water is the chemistry, no matter what river it comes from. It is, by nature, more caustic. They skipped a relatively inexpensive fix to treat the water, before it came to the pipes, but didn't think it worth while.

My family and the Kildees go way back, having grown up in the same section of the north end. When Dale Kildee was our Congressman, I always got a big hug when I saw him at political events.
