When is the Democratic establishment going to wake the hell up!!!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/james-thompson-kansas-dccc_us_58ebd572e4b0ca64d918315c

National Democrats have held off committing their resources to Thompson’s campaign, citing the difficulty of flipping an ultra-conservative district that Trump carried by nearly 30 percentage points in November. Thompson criticized their reluctance as “establishment thinking” in an interview on Sunday, maintaining that “a lot of people don’t want to be proven wrong.”

but more important, imo, is to pay attention to people's actual lives and needs. People need government that will really DO for us, and recognize there's a need for a new economic reality.

so was elected. Many didn't realize that banning refugees and deporting people would actually harm them and those in their families, and that promising many jobs would NOT occur. Con artists do that, and leave many with continuing feelings of need.

'As Democrats, we believe that every hardworking American should have an opportunity to get ahead. We believe in standing up for working people, that you should get a fair wage for a hard day's work, and that access to health care is a right, not a privilege.

Those are our party's values, and they're America's values -- they're what most people voted for last November.

We need to turn our party around and get back on track to take on Donald Trump and win elections. But that doesn't mean changing what it means to be a Democrat.

We have to rebuild the Democratic Party from the grassroots up to make sure we're talking about our values and fighting for our candidates in every state and every level of government, from town councils all the way up to the President of the United States.
