Almost as many bottles of wine as people at Trump's WH seder table.

for starters, one looks like a traditional seder and the other looks like a Moscow mafia meeting

I know, I know! No Prez Trump at the meal. Oh, and the Trump admin seder is in a basement conference room with paper plates.
The no-class Trumps!!

No reason at all for a non-Jewish president to host a Seder. But if you do decide to host, you should show up.

Trump's WH Seder was in EEOB office, with no Trumps.
Obama hosted it in a WH Dining Room and always came.
Difference speaks volumes.

In stark contrast to his predecessor, who initiated the tradition, Trump a no-show at White House Seder http://toi.sr/2ot38Is #ThanksObama

(3,764 posts)Probably spent the whole meal "playing Jewish," saying things like, "Oy, this is a great meal!" Drumpf probably got him from the same agency he hired his rally plants and his planted "protesters."

(55,894 posts)The man doesn't "look" Jewish nor is he pretending.
He's almost certainly a Chabad Jew, they wear fedoras.

(960 posts)You said he can't "look" Jewish, but then say that he looks Jewish. I'm pointing out your hypocrisy, nothing more. Your faux outrage is much appreciated tho

(55,894 posts)Obviously you are ignorant about what and who Chabad Jews are and what they wear.
Now that I've told you, instead of appreciating the information you continue your offensive remarks.

I would like to believe that. Their obnoxious behavior at multiple points under this thread seem to indicate otherwise.

(62,444 posts)It is quite obvious that you did not understand the sentence in question - i.e. He doesn't "look" Jewish, he IS obviously a member of a Jewish group which commonly wears fedoras.
The "look" was put in quotations marks for a reason which should be obvious to any reader.
The quotation marks signal that the sentence is saying that he doesn't simply appear to be Jewish, he most probably IS Jewish.
Do you understand?

(2,654 posts)I think that the particular post which was the focus of the alert for which I served as juror appears just a bit above. I believe that usage of the word in quotes up-thread was not done with anti Semitic intent. In my service on the jury, I voted that the post in question clearly did not break any rule, and I further opined that the alert was the result of a misunderstanding of the meaning of the post. As an aside, I will add that, in my opinion, each party was a bit confused as to what the other party was complaining about.

(55,894 posts)on the ignorant remarks... now that you know why the man is wearing a beard and fedora maybe you can delete you offensive remarks about it being someone who is Amish.

(960 posts)Your religious sect having a certain traditional fashion sense, and that fashion sense making you look like a internet troll, is not anti-that religion. Why do religions get write-offs on being criticized for non-belief based practices? It's a privilege offensive to secular society.
I am very offended by your statements so can you stop doubling down on your ignorant remarks. As a member of the secular world I don't want to be persecuted by you for my beliefs

(15,800 posts)Ignoring guests for a moment, look at the tablecloth, chairs and place settings in the Trump-era. Obviously thrown together at the last minute and probably without the help of White House staff that normally does things like set tables.

(3,764 posts)It just galls me that all these RW'ers who honestly believe Obama is a Muslim (which, by the way, so what if he were?) are willing to turn a blind eye to the mountain of evidence to the contrary. Like the woman in the now-famous video who sputters and stammers when confronted with her own beliefs that Obama is a Muslim, yet for some reason attended a Christian church headed by Jeremiah whats-his-name, the America-hater, his entire life. And the woman who claimed that Obama is a Muslim AND an atheist at the same time.
