Woman in China hospitalized after a man eats her face

A woman has been hospitalized in China after a drunken bus driver allegedly attacked her and began gnawing on her face.

The woman, identified as "Du," was driving near a bus station in Wenzhou on Tuesday when a man ran into the street, blocking her car. The man, a bus driver identified as "Dong," allegedly climbed onto the hood of Du's car and began hitting the windshield, according to the Malaysia Chronicle.

Du got out of the car, and allegedly Dong tackled her to the ground, where he began chewing on her face, according to Shanghai Daily. Witnesses say they attempted to pull Dong off of her, but were unable to do so.

6. In a world with billions of people, this kind of thing probably happens more often than we realize.

We just haven't heard about them all in the past. They were local stories only.

Because of the interest generated by one high profile story, we're now hearing about every one that occurs.

At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it so I can sleep at night... with the deadbolt on.

Eating would imply swallowing, this is sensationalism. And if someone jumps on your hood and starts to pound on your windshield, roll up your windows, lock your doors and drive to the nearest police station and honk your horn. Don't get out of your car.

I don't think we know that for sure with any of the stories.

But ultimately, I think this is a case of one high profile story causing news sources to report on similar stories that we otherwise wouldn't have heard of and that there's no statistical increase here.
