Trump's base turns on him.

Politico:

Donald Trump’s true believers are losing the faith. As Trump struggles to keep his campaign promises and flirts with political moderation, his most steadfast supporters — from veteran advisers to anti-immigration activists to the volunteers who dropped their jobs to help elect him — are increasingly dismayed by the direction of his presidency.

Their complaints range from Trump’s embrace of an interventionist foreign policy to his less hawkish tone on China to, most recently, his marginalization of his nationalist chief strategist, Steve Bannon. But the crux of their disillusionment, interviews with nearly two dozen Trump loyalists reveal, is a belief that Trump the candidate bears little resemblance to Trump the president. He’s failing, in their view, to deliver on his promise of a transformative “America First” agenda driven by hard-edged populism.

The swiftness and abruptness of Trump’s shift from bomb-throwing populist outsider to a more mainstream brand of Republican has taken the president’s stalwarts by surprise.

The deflation of Trump’s base threatens to further weaken a president who’s already seen his public support drop to historic lows. Frustration among the president’s allies has intensified in recent days, with many expressing worry that Bannon, the intellectual pillar of the nationalist movement that catapulted Trump to the presidency, is being pushed out.

Right; as if a billionaire (?) New York real estate developer is an anti-establishment outsider.

I'll believe the true believers are turning on Trump when they start contacting their die-hard Republican congress critters about investigating this slimy shithole of an administration. If all they're upset about is that Obamacare hasn't been repealed, I've already heard enough of that whining for this lifetime.

Right now, however, most of them have no problem with a pre-empitive strike on NK.

Does this make them "globalists" now?

Example:

Dealing with North Korea will be EASY once we realize that the taboo regarding nuclear weapons is stupid. Trump’s use of the MOAB is probably part of a plan to ease into using our nukes again —without fear or apology.

I didn't know launching planetary-life-ending weapons brought one closer to God. These people are uneducated fucking idiots.

Seemingly checked out enough not to realize that launching the nuke is the easy part. Running for cover from something 10,000 times more powerful than atomic bombs dropped on Japan, in retaliation, is not going to be fun for the US.

I hope these nuke-humping lab rats will be signing up for the war.

"As Trump struggles to keep his campaign promises and flirts with political moderation. . ." HUH??? Aren't the tRump loyalists (AKA the 'walker brigade') even remotely concerned that tRump's as yet unrevealed tax reform proposal is rumored to do away with payroll taxes, the main sources of funding for SS and Medicare? Aren't they baffled by tRump's being 'on board' with Paul Ryan, who favors privatizing Medicare? Aren't they at all fazed by tRump's coziness with McConnell, who is in favor of a brutal one time fix for SS? You'd think they would be a bit miffed that he chose an HHS Secretary who has proposed a 20% DECREASE is SS for this year. I don't know who is crazier, tRump or his supporters.

45* has no direction, it's just whatever people want to hear whom he happens to be talking to on any particular day. That's what's so scary about his most recent threats to North Korea, the bastard is just stupid enough to start a war with them to prove his 'manhood'.
