And somehow, two years into college, she's decided that this whole "Easter" thing is a little fishy, and would I please describe not only what the Christians believe, but theological underpinnings? (Because she's in college. I think that says it all).

It has been a complicated discussion, because none of it really makes sense to me, either. Finally I said, "Go call your aunt. She's a professional minister with a degree in this shit." The kid came back more confused than ever.

The Easter legend fails on principle, let alone the four (and more) diverse tellings of it.

It has all the elements of legend -- in other words, made up shit.
