Secret Service has spent $35,000 on golf cart rentals

The Secret Service has spent more than $35,000 on golf cart rentals at President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort since his inauguration, CBS News reported Friday, as Trump begins another weekend in Florida.

Why are they paying Trump to rent golf carts when the could just buy them for a pittance, and then sell them back at the end of the term or when he is impeached - whichever is sooner.

Trump's Secret Service guards have to pay to rent the carts from Trump's Mar a logo so basically this is another way for Trump to make $$ off the taxpayers. Quite the racket isn't it?

He 'donates' his pay (a tax deduction for him if the org is a 501(c)3) but how much does he profit from his being president? I know he and his family are costing us millions and that's not even counting all the costs of his military distractions, cuts to programs, etc.
