Seriously, this article that refers to two agents driving one of Qusay's kids from Westchester to Manhattan sure sounds more like we are footing the bill for expensive chauffeur service.

https://www.secretservice.gov/protection/
according to the Secret Service website.
"ho does the Secret Service Protect?
Permanent protectees, such as the President and Vice President, have special agents permanently assigned to them. Temporary protectees, such as presidential and vice presidential candidates/nominees and foreign heads of state, are staffed with special agents on temporary assignment from U.S. Secret Service field offices. Protection for the President and Vice President of the United States is mandatory. All other individuals entitled to Secret Service protection may decline security if they choose.
Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 3056, describes the agencys authority as provided by law. Since the U.S. Secret Services protective mission began in 1901, the agencys jurisdiction has expanded to meet the needs of an evolving security environment.
Protectees:
The President of the United States
The Vice President of the United States
The Presidents and Vice Presidents immediate families
Former Presidents, their spouses and their minor children under the age of 16
Foreign heads of state and their spouses visiting the United States
Major presidential and vice presidential candidates and their spouses
Events designated as National Special Security Events by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Homel"

The article says SS took selfies with the kid sleeping, kid woke up and freaked out ...that's a big deal...
That part shouldn't get lost in the (very valid) cost of SS argument.
