...you know, endless think pieces and discussions from true patriots about why the president hates America and has so little respect for it's traditions.

Remember when Malia and Sasha did subtle eyerolls at a turkey pardoning and Republicans lost their minds? They were "rude" and "disrespectful"! Actually, they were acting like normal teenage girls, just as Barron showed boredom and couldn't keep still as the speeches went on. That, too, was normal for his age.

his age and cut them all a lot of slack. But I've never seen him looking pleasant, dignified and still, the way Malia and Sasha and both of ours can manage, both on command and without, for some while. Or interested or involved, looking around curiously or spontaneously returning a smile or wave.

Whatever. Hopefully this isn't going to be particularly difficult for him to get through since there's really nowhere for a president's son to go.

This is the bastard who flew a garrison flag from an 80-foot flagpole at Mar-a-lago in violation of two city ordinances, one that limits flag size to 4x6 (a garrison flag is 20x38), the other that limits flagpole height to 42 feet. He didn't get either a building permit or a code variance for the installation. Then he sued the city on freedom of speech grounds because the smaller flag and lower pole wouldn't "appropriately express the magnitude of Donald J. Trump's and the Club's members' patriotism." (This from a guy who got out of serving his country because one of his feet was sore - and now he can't even tell you which one it was.)

http://www.snopes.com/trump-maralago-flagpole/

Someone who has patriotism of this magnitude has a strange way to show it - marries two communist wives, borrows money from Russian oligarchs because American banks won't lend him any, rigs an election, and has to be reminded to put his tiny hand over his tinier heart when the national anthem plays.

Maybe he thinks the National Anthem is his THEME song and its all about him. His warped mind seems to think, he is not the President, but the KING, and in his Kingdom, he can do whatever the hell he wants, because he is ENTITLED!

Grifter, is more like it. He is scamming this country so he can make billions. PT Barnum would be so proud, maybe.

Sorry I couldn't find a version that celebrated Russia winning the U.S. 2016 elections, but I figured one celebrating the taking of Crimea from the Ukraine would be a close second.

Not to defend Trump, but hand on the heart is for the pledge, not the anthem. But all of a sudden I'm seeing people getting shit for not putting their hand on their heart during the anthem. Gabbi Douglas, the gymnast did during the Olympics, for example. But I never do either. It's just habit.

It's just become one of those things that politicians have to do to prove their patriotism. Like the stupid flag pins.
