Based on my limited knowledge of the situation, as soon as we launch an attack, NK will try to cross the DMZ and Seoul will get hammered.

This would still, presumably, be a conventional non-nuclear war. NK still probably doesn't possess the means to use nuclear weapons in combat.

The question that remains is just how far NK is willing to fight and how willing SK and its US ally are to seek out some sort of ceasefire. So this will either end in a ceasefire or a prolonged conventional war that will eventually lead to the collapse and occupation of NK.

What I don't know is how Russia and China will react to our attack. This is such a truly strange, unique situation.
