How much credence do you give to Tweets?

When some unknown person announces "Breaking News" on Twitter, do you give it as much credibility as "Breaking News" from TV Networks or from NY Times or Washington Post or some other credible source?

Personally, I need more than a Tweet.

Someone credible tweets something, it gets out there faster than cable news, which is a waste of fucking time anyway.

There's nothing inherently credible or not-credible about the medium of twitter. It's a means of communication, period.

Now, an "unknown person" on twitter- no, not a lot of credibility.

many of them are fact filled with intense detail. I follow credible journalist and former Intel/CIA for good Russia stories.

it is, BUT it doesn't have much effect until MSM pick it up. That's the sad reality. Her tweet about Shitface/Chaffetz followed by his puling out of 2018 should be front page news but isn't. That concerns me.

I do sometimes hope it's true. Really for me until it hits as actual confirmed news it's not real. But probably should pull back from that. How much has been released as news but got pulled back or still shows as conjuncture.

But, many times, you see nothing but a Twitter name of someone you have never heard of? Those I tend to mostly ignore. It's difficult to process sometimes.

That leaves out most tweets and news outlets. Lot's of gas filled opinion little real substance.

Puts me in mind of the old saying, "A little bird told me."

I have learned, however, how incredibly gullible people are.

Individually, they mean little. Put together in a true sequence, they divulge the wisdom of this civilization. Put together in a different true sequence, they divulge alternative wisdom of this civilization.

Treasure them. They will tell our story to future inhabitants of the interwebs.
