It looks like a "fight" may be brewing between Sarah Palin and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

Palin was quick to point out that if the "fight like a girl" line seems familiar, it's because she said it first.

“I don’t know. Coming from liberals who urge women to claim victimization, ‘Fight like a girl’ just doesn’t sound the same as when legit fighters for equality say it, mean it, live it, and will never give it up," Palin said to Breitbart News.

long before Palin was even a blip on the radar.

I've used the quip as a positive thing since my daughter's were young so at least 25 - 30 yrs ago. I know there have been books and song with that as the title too and those were before Palin said it which I think that was after her VP run and just a few years ago...

I recon, since palin in some obscure word salad said 'fight like a girl' every public figure has to avoid all her word groupings (I just couldn't call them phrases)?

Edit to add that Elizabeth was not using expression as a mark, so this is not the same but good indication that Sarah does not have blocking rights. I don't remember Sarah (or Tina Fey) saying it.
