Think those federal firefighters should have health insurance? Please consider signing the petition

Shockingly, many of the firefighters currently battling wildfires in Colorado and around the country do not have health insurance because they are classified as seasonal, rather than permanent, federal employees.

Sign the petition to congressional leaders demanding they immediately pass legislation which would make all federal firefighters eligible for federal health insurance.

To Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid:

It is outrageous that firefighters battling the blazes in Colorado and around the country are not eligible for federal health insurance. Pass legislation to rectify this immediately.
